Diabetes the Basics

 
Have you recently been diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes or impaired glucose tolerance (pre-diabetes)?
Do you need an update on diabetes management?

Then join Angela Roney (Diabetes Educator)
and Rosemary Duffield (Dietitian)
for this two-week program. Each of the 2 sessions will extend for 2 hours.

Our program is client-centered: it aims to:
Improve your knowledge about diabetes, Empower you to implement lifestyle change
and allow you to live well with diabetes.

Topics include:
What is diabetes?
Food
Physical activity
Medication
Blood glucose monitoring
Prevention of complications
Living well with diabetes

Don’t forget reading glasses if needed!
Morning tea is provided.

When: Selected Wednesdays, 9.30am - 12.30pm.

Cost for 2 sessions: $10 or $6.50 for pensioners. Partners are encouraged to attend free of cost.
